Welcome to the Master of Science in Nursing
The graduate program in nursing is designed for working nurses who are interested in the master’s degree to further careers in nursing education or nursing management/administration. Students benefit from the small classroom size and personalized attention by faculty who are committed to providing excellent course and practicum experiences. Classes are offered in three options: one evening a week, every other weekend, or in an e-learning format. Current sites are located at Southwestern Illinois College – Belleville, John A Logan College – Carterville, and at the Louisville campus. In lieu of a thesis, students may complete a scholarly project. Both tracks may be completed in five semesters. The first MSN students were accepted in 2005. Our first graduation for MSN students was May 2007.
The McKendree Master of Science in Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
